a grand country house: louise holt interior design

We’ve long admired the beautiful interiors that Louise Holt Interior Design creates. Homes that you look at and think ‘imagine if we lived there'.

One of her recent projects was at a stunning country house in Oxfordshire, set in a sprawling landscape of trees, lakes and wildlife. Everything about this house is flawless, the harmonious blend of old and new, and the seamless connection of interior and exterior. An ideology that resonates with us, many of the materials used within the home are natural, reflecting the magnificence of the surroundings.

As much as we wish we could live in such a place, we are so pleased that a few of our ceramics have found a home here. Perfectly positioned on a beautiful side table, our Cove vase and varying sizes of our Skimming Stone vases, create an elegant display of shape, texture, and tone holding a select choice of dried blooms.

Being surrounded by nature is where we are most inspired. Our Cove vase was influenced by the natural curvature of a cove, whilst our Skimming Stone vases are, as the name suggests, reminiscent of flat pebbles found on remote shorelines, perfect for skimming across the water.

Their organic forms fit seamlessly with the original contemporary yet timeless brief, and we’re so happy that Louise and her team thought of Every Story for those finishing touches that make a house a home.

It was no surprise that this exceptional home was chosen to feature in the beautiful ‘Rural Retreat’ book by Wim Pauwel, a book that showcases 12 of the most stunning homes from around the world.
