bespoke gifting - studio porter

We worked previously with the wonderful Hannah Porter, of Studio Porter fame, on a beautiful wedding last summer, where the bride and groom kept their every story plates as a memento from the special day. We love Hannah’s style and the importance she puts on the little details that make all the difference.

We were honoured when Hannah tasked us with creating a bespoke gift as a thank you to her clients. Our Petal Bowl was the perfect piece and we thought how we could adapt it for the occasion. We used a flecked clay to reflect the earthy tones of the Studio Porter branding and finished it with a warm, off-white glaze that allowed the beauty of the speckled clay to peek through. The bowl was entirely hand-pinched so that we could achieve the naive, flowing edges and perfectly imperfect dimples.

We wrapped the Petal Bowl in tissue and delicate twine, then nestled the piece in a box filled with natural paper shred to create an intriguing unwrapping experience. To complete the order we printed a heartfelt gift note on a textured paper and sealed in a deckle edge envelope. Printed names on the front in a hand written style were the final personal touch.

Bespoke orders always have such a special meaning for us, we wonder who the lucky recipients are and how they will feel when they receive their thoughtful gift.
