small business appreciation

As a small business, we love nothing more than supporting other small businesses. We understand the excitement of an order, the care and attention that goes into the packing, and the nerves and hope that is felt once the item has been sent.

It makes a lovely change being on the receiving end of a beautiful parcel, having the joy and excitement of opening that special little box and seeing what’s inside.

Small businesses wouldn’t survive without lovely customers, so again we thank you for your support, and in return we thought we’d share some of our favourite small businesses with you, where you may find new treasures to treat yourself to.

For pottery essentials take a look at Samuel Sparrow, a potter and maker based in Dumfries, Scotland. He is our first port of call when looking for new tools, and we love endlessly scrolling through his perfectly styled website.

You may have noticed we like to create little plates to use as jewellery dishes, and we love filling them with beautiful jewellery from Cast & Found, Milly Maunder and Grace & Kin.

Cast & Found is based in Nottinghamshire and each beautiful piece is made by the talented Jessica, who, like us finds inspiration in rural, woodland walks and garden ramblings.

Milly & Maunder is a small jewellery studio nestled in the Devonshire countryside. Milly creates bespoke and ready to wear granulation jewellery, using recycled materials where possible.

Grace & Kin is a lovely independent jewellery maker creating contemporary yet elegant pieces, of which we own quite a few!

Ceramics and homeware go hand in hand, and one our favourite places to shop homeware is Selwyn House. They create modern wooden tableware and each piece is handmade in their rural workshop in Northamptonshire.

For soaps and hand creams we go to Homework, each bar of soap is made from 100% natural botanical ingredients and essential oils, and are vegan and cruelty free.

You may have noticed that we like to add fabrics to our table settings, and for that we go to Emma's Attic. They are a family run company hand-making organic gauze runners, napkins and silk velvet ribbons from earth friendly textiles.

We’ll keep you posted with any future finds!
