Estelle Manor and Eynsham Baths
What started out as an exciting opportunity soon became an unbelievable reality. We have spent the last year perfecting a bespoke range of ceramics for the esteemed country club and hotel, Estelle Manor—the countryside companion to the private members’ club Maison Estelle in Mayfair, London.
Estelle Manor is nestled in Oxfordshire, perched on the doorstep of the Cotswolds. Set on an 85-acre estate, Estelle Manor is a Grade II-listed landmark house, surrounded by over 3,000 acres of beautiful parkland and lush gardens. Part of the estate includes a Roman-inspired spa, Eynsham Baths. The neoclassical architecture, inspired by ruins discovered close to the estate, boasts sculpted stone columns, pilasters, and hand-shaped bricks, all bathed in natural light.
With four amazing restaurants on-site, ceramics were needed in abundance, and that’s where you will now find a bespoke set of Every Story dinnerware, including plates, bowls, teacups, saucers, sugar bowls, milk jugs and more. Furthermore, we provided Eynsham Baths with decorative pieces to dot around the magnificent Roman spa. Ikebanas, jewellery dishes, planters, and bespoke bowls can be found considerately positioned, adding to the serene and calm ambiance that can be felt from the moment you enter.
As with any big project, we started by making a selection of samples and trialed branded stamp options to mark them. These samples were then used to serve the masterful culinary creations of the manor, allowing the chefs to visualise everything together just as the guests would receive it.
A style was decided upon, and then the hard work began. With over 1,000 pieces to create, we spent the next few months hand-making the collection, ensuring each piece met the highest standard.
On our first personal delivery to the manor, on a chilly winter's afternoon, we were treated to an exclusive tour of the baths before they opened to guests. The sun was just setting, and there was the most amazing glow behind the spa building. As we entered, magnificent expanses of marble led us through the remarkable building. The space cocoons you; the air is so tranquil that you feel instantly relaxed, and the gentle warmth rises through the marble floor. Every corner has been considered.
Since then, the manor and spa have both opened to great success, and our relationship has gone from strength to strength, with re-orders for the restaurants, new orders for the spa café, and now, you can even find our ceramics in their online retail space, The Muse, offering a taste of the manor to take home with you.
